The Master of Medical Parasitology and Entomology programme at University of Malaya is developed to establish the Department of Parasitology as a centre for teaching and research in parasitology and entomology, also serving as a national and international referral centre for parasitic diseases. The programme covers detailed aspects of major medical parasites and their vectors—including history, epidemiology, morphology, life cycle, infection modes, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control—combining molecular, biochemical, physiological, and microbiological perspectives.
