The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) at the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya, is a multidisciplinary research program designed primarily for criminal justice professionals, practitioners in the Malaysian and international justice systems, and those seeking advanced legal research and academic credentials. Students are required to take a Research Methodology course, and produce a research dissertation (max 50,000 words). Non-Malaysian candidates must also fulfill a Bahasa Malaysia requirement. The program supports a broad range of legal research fields and emphasizes training in research and professional skills relevant to the legal and criminal justice systems.
