The MSc Comparative Public Policy provides intensive analytical training in systematically comparing social and public policies from an international perspective. It develops substantive knowledge across topical areas such as policy evaluation, policy learning, and policy transfer, focusing on cross-national variation within and beyond Europe across labour markets, work–life balance, health, social care, inequality and welfare, education policy, and child-oriented policy and practice. The programme structure includes two core courses (one each semester), specialist electives, and a dissertation; teaching uses lectures, seminars, tutorials, essays, and assessed coursework. It is aimed at careers across civil service, international agencies, NGOs, local government, social research, and other public/private sector roles.
