Edinburgh Law School offers Joint LLB programmes where you study Scots law alongside another named academic discipline. Years 1–2 cover foundation ‘Ordinary’ law courses plus courses in the partner subject; Years 3–4 are at Honours level with specialist options and a dissertation. The joint honours route is academically rigorous but, by default, does not include all courses required by the Law Society of Scotland for progression to the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice; it may be possible to meet these requirements by taking additional courses after discussion with the Law School.
