The MS in Robotics at the University of Michigan College of Engineering is a comprehensive two-year graduate program that requires completion of 30 credits of letter-graded coursework, including 3–6 credits of directed study. The curriculum spans three core technical areas: Sensing (computer vision, mapping, signal processing), Reasoning (planning, AI, multi-agent coordination, machine learning), and Acting (control, kinematics, dynamics, manipulation, real-time systems). The program prepares students to become independent researchers and engineers, contributing to advancements in robotics for academia, industry, and government. Students gain multidisciplinary skills and direct hands-on experience in constructing, programming, and integrating robotic systems.
