The Imes-Moore Bridge Program at the University of Michigan is a two-year, fully funded master's-level bridge program designed to prepare students from diverse backgrounds for entry to Ph.D. studies in applied physics and related interdisciplinary fields. Named in honor of pioneering African American physicists Dr. Elmer Samuel Imes and Dr. Willie Hobbs Moore, the program aims to strengthen students’ fundamentals in physics, provide mentoring, and offer broad research opportunities across more than fourteen departments.
