The curriculum is flexible to accommodate individual academic and research interests, and emphasizes scholarly ability, technical proficiency, and leadership. Students complete at least 45 semester credit hours, undertake research, and are required to defend a written thesis. The program is accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
