The Master of Science in Nursing – Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Michigan School of Nursing is designed to train advanced practice nurses with a focus on the health and well-being of children and their families. The curriculum covers well-baby/well-child care, management of minor acute illnesses, and includes both theoretical coursework and extensive supervised clinical experiences. Beginning Fall 2024, the program is offered fully online, with required on-campus intensives each term for competency assessments and seminars. Graduates are prepared for roles in both primary care and pediatric subspecialty settings, serving increasingly complex pediatric populations and supporting family-centered care.
