The Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan offers a two-year, highly customizable and interdisciplinary MFA in Art. The program is designed for artists seeking deep studio-based investigations across and beyond traditional boundaries of art. Students benefit from mentorship by leading artists and access to top-tier research resources. The curriculum encourages the development of culturally relevant work and supports the integration of knowledge from diverse fields such as sciences, law, and humanities. A signature component is a funded self-directed international project during the summer between the two years. Graduates are prepared to become cultural leaders and educators.
