The BSE in Climate and Meteorology at the College of Engineering, University of Michigan, provides a rigorous curriculum in Earth’s climate and weather systems with research and engineering applications. The program offers two concentrations: Climate Science and Impacts Engineering, focusing on understanding climate dynamics and societal impacts; and Meteorology, emphasizing computational, theoretical, and practical skills for analyzing meteorological phenomena from weather systems to micrometeorological processes. Classes are small, with hands-on research, preparing graduates for careers in environmental analysis, industry, government, or further graduate study. Students gain experience in scientific communication, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and technical methodologies relevant to climate and atmospheric sciences.
