The MA in Literary Studies at National University of Singapore (NUS) is a fully taught graduate programme focused on advanced contemporary literary scholarship. Students complete 10 MA-level courses (3 foundational courses and 7 electives), potentially including independent research. The curriculum covers methodologies, periods, and genres such as postcolonial theory, world literature, trauma studies, and literature of the Anthropocene. The program is designed for a diverse international cohort, fostering a broad, inclusive perspective on English literature. No thesis is required; all assessment is coursework-based. Full-time students may complete in 1 year; part-time is available for local students. Candidates must reside in Singapore for at least 50% of study. Tuition for 2025/2026: SGD 25,050 (Singaporeans/PRs, before rebates), SGD 41,750 (International).
