The NUS Master of Laws (LLM) in Asian Legal Studies is a specialised program designed for legal graduates interested in developing in-depth expertise about the laws, institutions, and legal traditions of Asia. Students examine diverse frameworks spanning South, Southeast, and East Asia, integrating coursework in specialized areas such as commercial, constitutional, and international law as they relate to the region. The curriculum encourages understanding of law in its broader socio-cultural, commercial, and political context in Asia, leveraging NUS Law’s location at the crossroads of the region. The program is structured to allow students to tailor their course selection from a wide range of electives relevant to Asian legal studies.
