The Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering and Media (IEM) at Nanyang Technological University is a multidisciplinary, four-year direct-honours programme hosted by the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and jointly offered with the Schools of Art, Design and Media, Computer Science and Engineering, and Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. The curriculum is designed to train professional Infocomm engineers with strong technical expertise, as well as a sound understanding of the artistic, creative, and business aspects of the media industry. About 60% of the curriculum focuses on information and communications engineering (including programming, hardware/software, communications, networking, and digital media processing). Another 20% is dedicated to media-related courses (e.g., digital art, animation, media production), preparing graduates to work at the intersection of technology and media. The remainder broadens students’ skills in arts, humanities, and business, supporting lifelong learning and employability in diverse sectors.
