The Sociology programme at NTU Singapore is an intellectually rigorous four-year direct honours degree that introduces students to the systematic study of social conditions and relations—from how societies are structured to the consequences of social change. Covering core areas and research methodologies, students gain skills to analyze contemporary and real-world social issues, engage with the breadth of cultural, economic, and political life, and develop critical thinking and empirical reasoning abilities. Core courses include Person and Society, Classical and Contemporary Social Theory, and Research Methods. Prescribed electives allow further specialization.
