The Bachelor of Science in Informatics at the University of Washington Information School provides an interdisciplinary education in the design, implementation, and management of information systems. The Biomedical and Health Informatics Option, jointly offered with the Department of Biomedical Informatics & Medical Education (BIME), allows students to specialize in applying informatics methods to healthcare, biomedicine, and public health. Students learn to build and secure information solutions for the complex environment of health sciences, taking additional courses in biomedical and health informatics such as BIME 300, BIME 435, and related electives.
