The Bachelor of Arts in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health at the University of Washington School of Public Health is an interdisciplinary program exploring the complex intersections among food, culture, economics, environment, labor, policy, population health, and social justice. Students examine how food systems impact nutrition and health outcomes, and develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills essential for tackling global health challenges. The program involves interdisciplinary coursework, experiential learning through a capstone, and prepares graduates for careers in health promotion, food policy, advocacy, food services, processing/manufacturing, and for further graduate studies.
