The BSENVE at the University of Washington College of Engineering is a specialized ABET-accredited undergraduate degree designed for students interested in environmental and hydrologic systems. The curriculum provides in-depth study of core areas such as water and air quality engineering, wastewater treatment, hydrology, hydrodynamics, microbiology, and sustainability. Courses cover the use of mathematical, chemical, biological, and engineering principles to address contemporary environmental challenges. Students complete extensive lab work, technical and professional practice (including a capstone design sequence), and have opportunities for internships and research. Graduates are prepared for careers or graduate study in environmental fields, and for the Engineering in Training License (EIT) exam.
