The University of Pittsburgh School of Law Master of Laws (LLM) program is designed for lawyers who have obtained their law degree outside the United States. It provides foreign-trained lawyers with critical training in the common law legal tradition and the U.S. legal system. The program allows for flexible course selection and the possibility to concentrate in substantive areas relevant to the global practice of law. Students interact closely with Pitt Law’s JD community and benefit from a dynamic academic environment, expert faculty, and specialized micro-credential options. The program incorporates small, interactive required courses and a range of electives, as well as professional exposure through field visits and post-graduation internship support.
