The University of Pittsburgh School of Law offers a fully online Master of Studies in Law (MSL) program with a specialization in Sports, Entertainment, and Arts Law (SEAL). This program is designed for graduates and mid-career professionals in or aspiring to roles in sports, media, entertainment, and the arts who require specialized legal knowledge in areas such as labor and employment, intellectual property, corporate and commercial transactions. The curriculum is asynchronous and consists of a 15-credit core legal foundation plus a 15-credit SEAL specialization, providing practical legal and policy skills tailored to contemporary challenges in these intersecting industries. Students learn from Pitt Law faculty and experienced practitioners, gaining both legal acumen and industry networking opportunities. The program can be completed in two calendar years, is part-time and does not require a Juris Doctor (JD), making it suitable for non-lawyers who seek to understand and apply legal principles within their professional fields.
