The MPH in Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health is a two-year, 45-credit graduate program designed to prepare students for careers as public policy analysts, advocates for health care quality, and developers or managers in public health agencies, foundations, nonprofits, and the private sector. The curriculum emphasizes health policy development, analysis, and advocacy, as well as program and organizational management. Students gain professional experience through a practicum, Public Health Leader-in-Residence, and other curricular activities. Graduation requires a minimum 'B' average across 45 credits, completion of a supervised 200-hour practicum, and a scholarly master's essay related to their culminating experience.
