The Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pittsburgh, provides a comprehensive foundation in economic theory, quantitative analysis, and applied economics. Students are required to complete at least 27 credits in economics courses, including both core and elective courses, along with co-requisite courses in mathematics and statistics. The program is flexible, allowing students to tailor their studies for preparation for graduate school or immediate careers in business, public administration, law, and other fields. Advisors assist students in designing personalized study plans suited to their interests and career goals. Economics can also be pursued as a dual major with business.
