The University of Virginia School of Nursing offers an accelerated, full-time Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program focusing on Clinical Nurse Leadership (CNL) for individuals who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing discipline. This nationally recognized program prepares graduates for leadership roles in nursing and healthcare, emphasizing evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and coordinated patient care across healthcare settings. The curriculum includes more than 840 hours of mentored clinical experiences and 12 graduate credits applicable toward additional nurse practitioner studies. Graduates are prepared to take the CNL Certification Exam, work as registered nurses after passing the NCLEX, and rise rapidly within healthcare organizations.
