The Entrepreneurship Track at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, is designed to prepare students for roles as founders, investors, policy makers, technologists, and business executives. The B.S. in Commerce program provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary business education with an expanded three-year structure starting from Fall 2025. Students complete 15 credits of foundational courses in their sophomore year and 15 credits of integrated coursework in their junior year, culminating with a senior specialization. The Entrepreneurship Track specifically consists of 12 credit hours, including a required course (COMM 4680), two electives, and a Capstone course (COMM 4681), where students collaborate in teams to commercialize business concepts, culminating in a new venture competition. The curriculum emphasizes real-world application, global study opportunities, corporate partnerships, and integrates business analytics and AI. The program is highly selective and supports students with streamlined student services and career development resources.
