UC Davis School of Law's LL.M. with a Concentration in Business Law provides advanced training for lawyers and legal professionals seeking specialized expertise in business law. Students must complete at least 8 units of business law courses (including a foundational course), a mandatory Contracts course (not counted toward the 8 units), and a substantial research paper on a business law topic. Electives cover areas such as finance, antitrust, bankruptcy, corporate governance, fintech, privacy, and sports law. The program integrates LL.M. students fully with J.D. classes and offers both August and January start options. Classes are taught by leading faculty, and students have the flexibility to tailor their curriculum according to their interests, with optional experiential learning opportunities and the ability to participate in moot courts and legal journals. Graduates receive a concentration certificate in addition to the LL.M. degree.
