The UC Davis School of Law LL.M. program offers a customizable curriculum allowing students to pursue a general degree or specialize in areas such as International Business and Dispute Resolution. This flexible structure enables students to select from a wide range of courses—including those focused on international business transactions and arbitration—under the guidance of faculty advisors. The LL.M. is open to foreign-trained and U.S. lawyers with prior legal education. The business law concentration requires completion of foundational courses and electives covering corporate governance, international taxation, international business negotiations, international arbitration, and more. Students are further required to complete a substantial research paper in business law. The program is designed for international legal professionals seeking advanced expertise and credentials in business law and dispute resolution within a global context. Students may start in August or January, and one- or two-year completion tracks are available.
