The Master of Engineering in Medical Device Development (M.Eng.) at UC Davis is an intensive and focused 9-month graduate program launching its inaugural class in September 2025. The curriculum is tailored to develop skills in medical product development, device design and fabrication, business leadership, and the engineering design process. Students train in state-of-the-art facilities at Aggie Square, Sacramento, collaborating with the Graduate School of Management, School of Medicine, and industry experts. The program is designed for STEM graduates aiming for careers in the biomedical device industry, providing experience and training typically gained over 5-7 years in a single academic year. A hands-on capstone design project and direct interaction with clinicians prepare students for impactful roles in a rapidly expanding global medical device marketplace.
