The Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine (M.P.V.M.) at UC Davis is an internationally recognized graduate program designed to train veterinarians and scientists in the principles and practices of population health, disease prevention, and epidemiology. The program combines rigorous coursework, a required research project, and a series of electives allowing specialization in areas such as population health, food safety, zoonoses, wildlife disease and ecology, ecosystem health, and international health. The curriculum prepares graduates for leadership roles in animal and human health sectors, government, academia, and industry, with a strong emphasis on 'One Health' and global challenges in veterinary and public health.
