The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at UC Davis, offered through the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, is a multidisciplinary undergraduate program. The first two years build a broad foundation in biological sciences with emphasis on genetics, molecular biology, and cell biology. In the third and fourth years, students concentrate in one of four areas: microbial biotechnology, animal biotechnology, plant biotechnology, or bioinformatics. The curriculum includes hands-on research and a mandatory internship in a biotechnology company or research lab, preparing graduates for diverse careers in biotech, healthcare, food, environmental science, and more.
