The UC Davis Bachelor of Science in Entomology offers students a general biological science education focused on insects. The curriculum develops an understanding of biological concepts by studying insects as model systems, covering basics in insect biology, collection, identification, systematics, ecology, pest management, apiculture, molecular biology, physiology, and toxicology. Students may tailor courses around arthropod pest management, economic entomology, insect ecology, or forensic entomology. Research opportunities and internships in government, industry, or faculty labs are strongly encouraged, preparing graduates for careers in agriculture, public health, research, or further graduate study.
