The Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Enology at the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences provides an interdisciplinary education in the scientific, technical, and business principles underlying grape and wine production. The curriculum includes foundational courses in biology, chemistry, and statistics, followed by upper-division coursework in plant science, food science, winemaking, microbiology, economics, and hands-on laboratory and vineyard work. Students also gain industry experience through internships and may participate in global learning or research projects. Graduates pursue careers as enologists, cellar managers, microbiologists, marketing specialists, and more, with opportunities in the wine industry both in the U.S. and internationally.
