The Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology at the University of California, Davis's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, is designed for students passionate about conserving wildlife and fish populations. The program provides a strong foundation in natural sciences and mathematics before advancing to specialized upper-division courses in general biology, environmental science, and choices among several tracks such as wildlife and conservation biology, fish biology, wildlife health, or individualized study. Students gain significant hands-on experience through laboratory classes, fieldwork, internships, and undergraduate research projects. Graduates are prepared for careers in conservation, resource management, government agencies, NGOs, education, consulting, or for advanced studies in ecology, evolutionary biology, or veterinary medicine. The curriculum requires a minimum C average in all major-related courses and encourages specialization according to student career goals. The 2025 curriculum includes advanced topics on species and habitat conservation, ecology, wildlife management, and restoration.
