The Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering program at UC Davis College of Engineering, accredited by ABET, trains students in core engineering principles and their application to biochemical systems. Students start with foundation courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and math, advancing to specialized topics such as bioreactors, bioseparations, process design economics, regulatory compliance, biochemical engineering labs, and biotechnology facility design. Graduates are prepared for roles in the biotech industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and interdisciplinary fields bridging engineering and medicine. The program also offers an Honors track for high-achieving students, internships, undergraduate research, and global learning opportunities.
