The Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio at UC Davis College of Letters and Science prepares students for creative careers and further study by providing a broad range of hands-on experiences in visual arts, including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, ceramics, printmaking, and time-based media. The program promotes critical thinking, technical proficiency, and exposure to contemporary art practices. Students build foundational skills through introductory courses and advance to specialized upper-division courses. The curriculum is designed to cultivate aesthetic sensitivity, visual awareness, and problem-solving skills applicable to many professional contexts. Opportunities exist for student exhibitions, lectures, internships, and engagement with regional art communities. No previous art experience or portfolio is required for admission to the major. 来源： https://arts.ucdavis.edu/majorinstudioart
