The Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism prepares students with a diverse set of skills in creative development, strategic communication, media and influencer relations, and analytics. The program addresses the synergy between public relations and advertising to train students for a wide range of careers, including campaign development, digital/social media marketing, content creation, media buying, applied research, and account management. Students engage in hands-on experience with advanced media labs and data analytics, and benefit from the school's location in Los Angeles, a major global media hub. The curriculum requires 44 major units (including courses like Effective Writing for Strategic Public Relations and Advertising, Strategic Public Relations and Advertising: An Introduction, Multichannel Strategy and Content Creation, Structured Inquiry, Business and Economic Foundations, and Building Integrated Campaigns) plus 16 upper-division elective units in PR or Journalism.
