The Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Inventive Technologies (BSA+IT) at USC School of Architecture is a four-year, 128-unit program designed for students interested in the intersection of architectural design, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship. Unlike the traditional professional architectural degree, this program focuses on training students to develop innovative architectural products, systems, and services. The curriculum covers design processes from conceptual ideation to prototyping and market implementation, with strong emphasis on digital modeling, fabrication, business planning, and the societal impact of technology. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in areas such as product design, set design, app development, materials research, façade innovation, prefabricated housing, digital architecture, and exhibition/museum design, rather than client-based architectural practice. The program culminates in a capstone seminar and offers the option of an additional track for students aiming for advanced placement in Master of Architecture programs.
