Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts offers the Master of Science in History and Sociology of Technology and Science (HSTS), a program designed to examine how technology, science, and social forces shape the modern world. The curriculum focuses on historical transformations, sociological theory, research methods, and data analysis, developing practical skills in technical writing, archival research, and communication. Students choose one of two tracks (History or Sociology) and complete a 30-credit hour program, including core courses and electives. Graduates gain a deep understanding of the societal context of technology and science and are prepared for careers in research, communication, policy, or further study in top Ph.D. programs.
