The MA in Anthropology at Queen’s University Belfast provides a deep grounding in anthropological principles and methods. The program covers diverse topics such as Conflict and Borders, Religion and Culture, Ethnomusicology, Migration, Material Culture, the cross-cultural study of emotion, and Human-Animal relations. Students design and conduct their own field research and participate in seminars and research projects led by experts with international and regional expertise. The course structure mandates six taught modules (four core, two optional) and a 15,000-word research dissertation.
