The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food Systems at Arizona State University's College of Global Futures provides a strong foundation in sustainability and holistic food system science. The program focuses on the complex interconnections among food, policy, economics, resources, and social equity. Developed by renowned experts, its curriculum covers agriculture, nutrition, policy, production, economics, and environmental and societal issues. Students learn a systems-thinking approach, preparing them for leadership and innovation in creating sustainable, equitable, and resilient food systems at local, national, and global levels. The program is offered in-person at several ASU campuses (Downtown, Polytechnic, Tempe) as well as online, gives students the opportunity to study abroad, and includes options for undergraduate research or accelerated pathways to a master’s degree.
