Northwestern University's Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) at the School of Professional Studies is a comprehensive program that integrates both the analytical and administrative aspects of policy and public management. It emphasizes leadership, strategic management, policy analysis, and the ethical implementation of public programs. The curriculum includes 10 core courses (covering research methods, public finance, microeconomics, statistics, organizational theory, ethics, and more) and 3 electives within five specializations: Data Analytics, Global Health, Global Policy, Public Administration, and Public Policy. Students may complete the degree full-time in one year in the accelerated track, or enroll part-time online or in a blended format. The program culminates in a capstone project or thesis, preparing graduates for significant impact locally, nationally, and globally in public and non-profit sectors.
