The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, Northwestern University, is an ABET-accredited, interdisciplinary program that offers foundational training in environmental engineering, including core science, mathematics, and engineering principles. Students develop strong problem-solving skills and learn to apply their knowledge of environmental systems, water and air quality, and sustainable infrastructure. The curriculum incorporates basic and advanced courses in engineering analysis, biological and ecological principles, fluid mechanics, chemistry, environmental microbiology, sustainable water systems, and capstone design. Graduates are prepared for leadership in engineering consulting, industry, government, and further study in engineering, law, medicine, public health, or management.
