The five-year joint 3+2 program allows a small cohort of motivated students to combine three and a half years studying musical arts at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music with one and a half years at the Owen Graduate School of Management. Students earn both a Bachelor of Musical Arts (B.Mus.Arts) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) upon completion. The baccalaureate is awarded at the end of the fourth year, and the MBA at the end of the fifth year. Admission is during junior year for Blair musical arts majors, is extremely competitive, and is targeted toward students with excellent academic records, strength in quantitative courses and team-based projects, and professional maturity. Students remain enrolled at Blair through most of their senior year and take business courses to satisfy both degrees' requirements.
