The Vanderbilt MAcc Assurance program at Owen Graduate School of Management is an intensive, on-campus, one-year master’s degree designed to prepare graduates for immediate entry into audit and assurance roles with top global accounting firms, especially the Big 4. The curriculum combines accounting, finance, and professional development courses, with classes alongside MBA and MS Finance students. Students participate in a required 10-week paid internship and prep for the CPA exam, which they sit for during the program. The program is open to students from all majors and backgrounds, provided they have completed prerequisites in accounting, statistics, and microeconomics. The cohort is kept small for personalized attention and strong networking opportunities. The degree boasts a 100% job placement rate within 90 days of graduation and one of the highest CPA pass rates in the United States.
