MIT School of Science’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS, Course 12) offers a Bachelor of Science that provides a rigorous foundation through departmental core subjects, advanced study in a student-selected concentration, required field and/or laboratory subjects, and an independent research project. The program prepares students for professional careers across geoscience, atmospheric and climate sciences, environmental systems, and planetary science/astronomy, with opportunities for fieldwork, lab experience, and undergraduate research.
