MIT Sloan’s Course 15-1 provides a comprehensive and flexible undergraduate management education. Students build a foundation in probability and statistics, managerial communication, managerial psychology/organizational processes, microeconomics, and accounting; choose two restricted electives across core business functions (finance, operations management, marketing, strategy); and then tailor depth via five electives forming an individualized concentration approved by the Undergraduate Education Office and Course 15 advisor. The curriculum specifies required subjects (e.g., Accounting 15.501; Communication 15.276 or 15.279; Organizational Processes 15.301/15.312/15.310—note: 15.301 replaces 15.312 beginning Fall 2025; Microeconomics 14.01 or 15.0111; Probability & Statistics 15.069 or 18.05 or 14.30 [updated Fall 2022]) and two restricted electives such as Managerial Finance (15.417 or 15.401) and Operations Management (15.7611 or 15.761). Students complete five concentration electives, at least three from Course 15, either within defined tracks or a custom concentration with advisor approval.
