MIT’s Departments of Biology and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science jointly offer an interdisciplinary SB that provides strong foundations in both biology and computer science, emphasizing the interface of computational and molecular biology through innovative, integrative, capstone, and elective subjects. The program prepares graduates for careers leveraging computational biology (e.g., pharmaceuticals, bioinformatics, medicine) and for further graduate study in biology, computer science, or related interdisciplinary fields. Students are full members of both departments (Schools of Science and Engineering) and are advised by one faculty member from each department.
