MIT School of Engineering’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) offers the SB in Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making (Course 6-4), an undergraduate program focused on the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of AI, machine learning, perception, language, and decision systems, including reinforcement learning, statistics, causal inference, control, and applications to embodied intelligence and society. The degree integrates core EECS breadth with advanced AI/ML and decision-making subjects, includes Social and Ethical Responsibilities of Computing (SERC) coursework, Communication-Intensive requirements, and approximately 171–180 units in the major with a total of about 180–192 units beyond the Institute GIRs for the SB degree.
