The MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCI Henry Samueli School of Engineering is an interdisciplinary graduate program emphasizing both technical rigor and real-world applications. Students select a primary focus area from: Structures, Geotechnics and Materials; Transportation Systems; Hydrology and Water Resources Systems; or Environmental and Energy Systems. Both thesis and coursework-only tracks are available, each requiring 48 units. The program equips graduates to deliver innovative solutions at the intersection of built and natural environments, with strong emphasis on sustainable infrastructure, environmental quality, and advanced engineering science.
