The Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Policy at UC Irvine’s Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health provides training in multidisciplinary approaches to public health practice and research, focusing on determinants of health, social and behavioral aspects, and policy and management. Graduates develop strong foundations in public health with both quantitative and qualitative skills, preparing for careers or advanced education addressing health from a population perspective, utilizing preventive strategies to improve community and global health. The curriculum balances experiential and science-based components and encourages public health leadership and community engagement. The program is one of the largest in the U.S. and the first of its kind in the UC system.
