UCI’s Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of the premier undergraduate programs in the nation. The curriculum integrates fundamental concepts from biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacology, and physiology, equipping students to participate in the discovery, development, characterization, and delivery of new medications and healthcare solutions. Students receive training in core scientific disciplines and exposure to practical healthcare and drug development issues, preparing graduates for advanced degrees (PharmD, PhD, MSP, MD), as well as careers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, healthcare, government, and regulatory roles. Research opportunities and a hospital pharmacy internship are major program features. About 37% of all enrolled undergraduates are first-generation students.
