The Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University offers a 36-month full-time combined Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and Certificate program in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. The curriculum balances approximately 50% clinical training and 50% coursework in basic sciences, advanced clinical topics, and research. Students undertake a research project, thesis, and defense to fulfill master's degree requirements. The program aims to produce highly competent clinicians able to analyze and manage complex dentofacial deformities, with emphasis on craniofacial growth, biomechanics, occlusion, and neuromuscular physiology. It is accredited by CODA and designed to fulfil the Council on Dental Education and Licensure requirements.
